Thanks very much, lele20 (both for playing and for the information about Wolfsberg)! The automated type-ins for both clubs caused the overlap, but I've corrected it, so "Wolfsberg" shouldn't be an accepted answer for "Wolfsburg" and vice-versa
You can get way too many by typing in random cities. Sure, some teams are best known by their city name but I got LASK, RB Salzburg and Sturm Graz by just typing all major Austrian cities I knew.
Congratulations for having such a strong knowledge of Austrian cities, but I don’t really see what point your trying to make.
Most cities across Europe (and, indeed, across the world) have major football clubs, most of which are either literally named after the city or are more commonly referred to by the city name for short.
Genuine question, but other than expecting everyone to type in “FC Barcelona”, “Olympique Lyonnais” and “Tottenham Hotspur” (just in case your knowledge of London is even as half as good as your knowledge of Austria is), what is your workaround?
This does confuse some people. Wakes does have its own Football Association, hence it is represented internationally but many of its club teams play within the English Football League (inc Swansea, Cardiff City, Wrexham and Newport County). Wales does have it own league, the top flight being Cymru Premier, although they are mostly semi-pro sides. They are equally accommodating when it comes to English sides: The New Saints play out of Oswestry, Shropshire in England and are the on lot full time professional team in the league (and it’s most successful side, which must annoy the Welsh no end).
Please accept WAC for Wolfsberg (that's what the club is usually referred to) and remove the Wolfsburg-Wolfsberg overlap (one fills out the other).
As well, accepted should be "Shakhtar Karaganda", or just that form of the name of the city or something
Doing a quick bit of research, it seems that Gabala has a variety of variations, so I've added all of those in!
Thanks for that and thanks for playing!
