Boom! 92/92 without cheating all right well maybe for the league 2 teams but only some I don't really follow league 2 football only league 1 and the Premiership
For god sake, done this a few times now and missed Morecambe and Rochdale every time and I have been to a Morecambe game before! (when I was a kid and we were on holiday there, was an absolute dystopia).
1) Percentage of Jetpunk users is the relevant figure. 2) The UK doesn't represent the other 96% of the world, you know. The sport is known as Jalkapallo, Nogomet, 足球, Calcio, and كرة القدم to many people.
'Soccer' is a British term, and was as common as 'football' right up until the 1970s, even into the 80s. Look at any old news reports (e.g. Pathé) on Youtube of matches, and the word soccer is used more often than football is. There is nothing American about the word soccer.
Yes but it was a very posh word not used so much by the normal folk. hence why the word "football" is the only word used now.
and the words we that we use now are what's important because otherwise you could use your argument to say some horrible things to black people etc. because it "used" to be common parlance
It wasn't posh - if it were so posh, why did so many footballers (like Jimmy Greaves or Ray Wilson to name but two) publish books with 'soccer' in the title? Just spend five minutes on the British Library's search function of all books published in the UK and you'll find countless examples. These were books published for a still a largely working class readership. And yes word usage changes, but for British people to get their knickers in such a twist over the use of 'soccer' is an overreaction and there's often an arrogance attached to it (born from the fact the sport started here, so "we" feel we "own" it somehow), and often with a complete ignorance of the history of the sport they apparently "love".
Bottom of League 1 was interesting to watch this year. I was more surprised that AFC Wimbledon managed to avoid relegation after being below the line for 2/3 of the season.
Also, try The Grand European Football Quiz that includes top levels from: England, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Netherlands & also Champions League and Euro League group stages.
It's 2018-19 for the moment, but may you be interested it'll be updated and edited as soon as all info for 19-20 is available.
Bristol City worked for Bristol thus making me miss Bristol Rovers as I assumed they must have dropped out the league if Bristol was accepted for City.
I know nothing about English soccer, but I named every community I could think of in England and Wales and got 32/92. I think that's pretty good, but it's worth 0/5.
The name of the quiz is not technically correct, as the Football League refers to three divisions below the Premier League. Also the logo used for the quiz is that of the EFL (English Football League) so does not cover the Premier League.
The other thing that might need a little adjusting is for Bristol: when typing in Bristol the team Bristol City is accepted, but you have to type in Bristol Rovers separately. This does not follow what happens with other city names with multiple teams (Sheffield) where you have to specifically name each team.
This won't affect results at all, but I think you've got Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday in the wrong leagues for next season. Was wondering how United could have dropped two tiers, from PL to L1.
Got 74/92. Feel good about myself since I live in the US and rarely watch League One and I got most of those. I got all of Championship except for Hull City how did I miss that?? Great quiz to test my knowledge on English Soccer!
Yes got them all with 5 seconds to spare. Question tho, why is it when you type Bristol it accepts only Bristol City. Where as to accept Bristol Rovers you have to type it in full.
One of the few quizzes that needs type-ins removing, not adding. Shouldn't accept "Bristol" for Bristol City when there's also Bristol Rovers, or "Forest" for Nottingham Forest when there's Forest Green Rovers.

My team Cambridge United get 61% recognition, and our main rivals Peterborough only get 44%.
That in my view makes it a great quiz.
