Frisian is an official language in the Netherlands and is the closest language to English. Wouldn't Cantonese be included in the last category?

Frisian is official in Friesland, but not the rest of the Netherlands.

As for Cantonese, it appears to have an official status in Hong Kong and Macau, so it still applies for that question.

I don't know about this elinguistics.net page. But shouldn't be German in that list as both English and German are West Germanic languages?

Genuinely tried Esperanto, Klingon, and Elvish for the last one.

If you accept that Tagalog and Filipino are different languages (they're clearly not, but officially I think they are), then wouldn't Tagalog be an answer in the last category?

Neither Kazakh nor Tajik use Cyrillic only, you might want to remove them. Cool quiz either way!

Great quiz, does the last question mean it can't be official in any subdivision at all?
