1968. This song was written with Aretha Franklin in mind. Franklin recorded this song the following year, but did not have the success this artist had. This song, by a British singer, enjoyed renewed success in 1994 when it was included in the film Pulp Fiction. This led to it reaching #1 in Iceland. Ths mezzo soprano singer was born Mary Isobel Catherine Bernadette O'Brien. She was given her nickname for playing football with boys in the street.
