Right? From grade 7 through grade 12, probably the most practically beneficial class I took. And I only took it because it seemed like an easy set of credits. I can't imagine how I'd get by if I couldn't type. It would be miserable.
In 6th grade we were forced to go through some typing program by the end of the year, and it was for a grade. I, like the rest of my class, went through and got really good at typing with two fingers, but after I finished and we still had typing practice everyday, I went back and learned how to type for real. Best decision I made; it’s very helpful these days.
The trick is to act like some of the letter combinations are actual words by reading them as such. HLTIO was way faster for me than reading H, L, T, I, O.
The hardest part is that when you hit play, the screen moves down, moving part of the letters out of sight on my laptop, requiring time to adjust. But I got em all the 2nd time.
I GOT A 37 ARE YOU KIDDING ME I TRIED SO HARD TO GET A 100 (not really) AND YET I STILL FAIL I'M SURPRISED (considering i type with 2 fingers and have to look at the keyboard because i'm a terrible typer) ANYWAYS LOVE THE QUIZ (it may seem like i'm yelling but i'm not I JUST LIKE TYPING ALL CAPS it really brings out my personality, BOLD (not really) AM I DRAMATIC) MAKE MORE QUIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZES PLEASSSSSSSSSSSE!
Typing out the single letters at a time was SO much harder for me than the full sentence quizzes. It's like there's no natural flow because you are not typing words. I found myself having to actively think for a second about a letter that I would never have to think about if I was just rattling off a sentence with muscle memory.
I hate these fast typing quizzes because they make me realise how slow I actually type lol. I can't type random letters blindly. But I still beat 53% of the other people who took this quiz so I guess it wasn't that bad.
Finally got 100/100 with 1 second left. It depends on so much which letters you get: in my language I never use letters QWZXC so on those ones I need to check my keyboard when writing, and it makes it slower
Does anyone understand the score distribution, and why there is such a gap between 99%/100%? Does it have to do with resets? Maybe people who like typing actively search for typing quizzes?
It is the fact that there are so many people who finish the quiz. The answer statistics are like for the COTW quiz: so many people finish it that there is a large discrepancy between 99% and 100%.
I was forced to learn at school for a grade in 6th grade. A lot of people I know took it in high school. Or you spend enough time at a computer and just pick up on it.
with 2 seconds left
Should reduce the time on this one to like 30 secs to finish to make it challenging :) Liking the concept

IF YOU NEVER DONE THIS NEVER GIVE UP IT TOOK SOME 1 MONTH
