Good quiz. I got 35. Feel dumb for missing Cyprus (I've been there), Oman (was my last Arab country and the city contains "Al"), and Brunei (Kuala is a big hint). The rest I missed I never heard of before and don't know how I would have guessed them.
you are? Congratulations. Though weird you would proclaim that here in response to someone else's comment stating the opposite ("I missed a bunch and feel dumb"). Those liking this comment I assume spend a lot of time on r/IAmInsecure
That was difficult. Got about 35 before resorting to guesswork with the remaining countries. Wouldn't have known Lucknow except I'm currently reading the section of a biography of Lord Robert Baden-Powell when he was stationed there.
I've lived, worked, and researched in the Maldives and had never heard of this "Addu City." Turns out there's been an administrative change in the south I'd had no idea about. Thanks for the info.
I have a friend who lives in Tripoli, Lebanon. When the locals there wanted to protest something the United States did they attacked and burned the (locally owned and franchised) McDonald's and KFC.
Tripoli: my least favourite city in Lebanon. Maybe even my least favourite city in the world. I don't recommend it, especially for people of a female persuasion. But the rest of the country is dear to my heart.
I know Malaysia was a British colony but I never figured they would have very English town names anywhere. Right next door to George Town they also have a city named Butterworth.
Yes, and in fact George Town was granted city status by Queen Elizabeth II in 1957 when she visited the (then) town, shortly before independence of Malaysia.
Didn't feel like I had enough time to think about each one
