Yeah, the Quizmaster's definition of "legendary" is different from mine. He has some: Bryant, Osborne, Hayes, Schembechler, Rockne, Paterno, Bowden, Parseghian, Robinson, Switzer, Wooden, Calhoun, Knight, Krzyzewski, Smith, Summitt and maybe, even, Saban.
But the rest, Alvarez, Holtz, Carr, Stoops, etc., not legends, particularly when you leave off: Stagg, Warner, Neyland, Leahy, Coryell, Wilkinson, Yost, Devaney, and in basketball you leave off Rupp and Boeheim.
You guys are clowns. The quiz doesn't say, "Name every legendary coach in the history of legendary coaches." It's simply asking to name legendary coaches based on the school and years provided.
Holtz only has five less wins than Rockne and in two fewer seasons. No one is even close to Alvarez at Wisconsin.
And your comment about "maybe even Saban." Maybe? How much crack can one person possibly smoke to think that Nick Saban might not have reached legendary status. He has four national championships -- more than any other football coach listed above other than Bryant. He's 63-7 in the last five years and has had one of the top recruiting class each year.
Where's Phog Allen? He invented basketball coaching, and the great original coaches at UNC, Kentucky, Duke, and others were first assistants under Allen.

Beware of the Phog!
