For "Belle" I kept trying "Beast," then when I saw the correct answer was "Sebastian," I was like, that's not right! ARIEL was with Sebastian! Clearly I am an 80s Disney baby.
Only missed the three I'd never heard of- Ozzie, Crofts and Play- still no clue as to what they are. But I have to say my first thought for Pinky was, of course, Perky!!!
Ozzie and Harriet Nelson had a US television show in the 1950s and '60s with their sons, David and Ricky. Seals and Crofts was a rock duo in the late '70s.
I've never heard of Pinky & The Brain, Mitchell & Webb, DJ Jeff & Prince, Seals & Crofts, Belle & Sebastian, Kid & Play, Ozzie & Harriet and Lilo & Stitch........ I'm either too old, too foreign or I've been asleep for 50 years.
Could be a combination! Lilo & Stitch is a Disney movie from the early 2000s, a hit but not one of their MOST famous movies; Pinky and the Brain was a cartoon from the mid-'90s; and Kid 'n Play and DJ Jazzy Jeff &the Fresh Prince were hip-hop acts from the late '80s/early '90s, so if you weren't a kid (especially an American kid) around those times, you might have easily missed them.
Ozzie and Harriet, though, very well may be from before your time (or, again, too American) as it was a radio show from 1944-1954, and a TV sitcom from 1952-1966. It remains the longest-running live-action American sitcom in history.
No idea who they are. Also no clue who Seals & Crofts are, or Belle & Sebastian unless they're talking about the French girl and talking crab of Disney movies who never met each other to my knowledge. Porgy & Bess sounds vaguely familiar but I don't know who they are. And there's no way I would have guessed "Posh & Becks" but after seeing the answer revealed I think I know who they're talking about, sadly enough.
Sorry, still never heard of Posh and Becks. Only know the Beckham name through quizzes on this site. Some of us here are older and not into soccer. My knowledge runs more to Gable and Lombard, John and Yoko, Big and Rich, etc.
Great quiz. I guess technically, "The King and Odie" should not be included for an alternate correct answer (which was "Garfield and Odie") as there was no leading third blank in the clue....but I'm just trying to be picky! Signed....True Blue Odie.
Google autocomplete gives Mitchell & Ness, a sports clothing company located in Philadelphia. I missed that one and also Belle. I was thinking Beauty and the Beast.
