Name the countries that are next but one to France.
Land borders only. In this instance it is mainland/metropolitan, European, France only.
The original country is not an answer.
For example, if the country was South Korea, the answers would be the countries that share a land border with any countries bordered by South korea. In this case, South Korea has only one land border, with North Korea. So the answers are the countries that share a land border with North Korea, namely China and Russia.
Also, France considers French Guiana as a region rather than a territory or collectivity, so it is for all intents and purposes part of France in every bit the same way as Hawaii and Alaska are part of the US. This means Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina, and Uruguay would qualify to be on this list.
Face palm on Monaco. Proper school boy error that. Fixed.
I suspect France was a poor choice for an initial trial of this quiz given the complexities with Guiana. Adjusted the criteria to specify it is mainland France only.
Added the “metropolitan” part to the caveats. It is academic for Corsica as it’s an island and has no land borders, but it’ll do no harm to have extra clarification.
The question specifies mainland France, so I should probably be consistent and only accept mainland UK and not any overseas dependencies or territories.

and you forgot Luxembourg- France borders belgium which borders luxembourg
it isn't on the mainland but it is a direct border so it shouldn't be on this list i think
