Nations who have supplied an (English) Premier league footballer.
Name the 111 Nations who have supplied a player who has taken part in at least one Premier League game. Note this is 'Nations' in footballing terms, so the UK counts as seperate nations and several others that are not legally recognised as countries are on the list. Info correct as of 03/09/19
Montserrat, Curacao, Bermuda, Gibraltar and the Faroe Islands are not countries. Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland are obviously murky territory, but are by all intents and purposes not countries in their own right either, according to, for example, the UN, EU, NATO, etc. Much more ceremonial than anything else.
I'm unsure on Monserat, Curacao and Bermuda, but Gibraltar and the Faero Islands are considered "countries" in the sense they have a 'national' football team and play in World Cup and European Championship qualifiers. Broadly similar to the four home nations of the UK, whilst none are "Countries" in their own right, all play international football as seperate 'countries'.
The intro does state that I'm looking for 'Nations' in the footballing sense, rather than by UN recognition anyway.
You've also reminded me that this quiz needs updated, there was a first player from a certain country, played in this season's PL.
Otherwise good quiz, really interesting.

Neil Etheridge played in the Premier League last season (18-19) for Cardiff City.

Cheers for flagging him up though
