It's written "country" which refers here to sovereign states. Eastern Island is not sovereign and Polynesion is divided into several sovereign statesso it makes no sense at all..
nope hirsutebodkin, it is a country quiz. You cant just keep bending the rules cause you like to. If everybody votes that you are 12 years old, you are not suddenly 12 years old. That is not how democracy works. The outlines for this quiz are clear (if they werent, then yes, the grey areas would be up for debate)
Yeah, that surprised me too, I'd never heard of it. Wikipedia tells me that it was built in the 17th century and used to be on the coast until land reclamation moved the coast further away. It's an impressive-looking thing.
You are not alone. However in my case, I didn't think North Korea would have any notable landmarks so I tried South Korea instead. When that didn't work I just assumed I was reaching and moved on.
Funny how nobody ever complained about Jordanians invading, occupying, and even annexing this territory (intentionally razing priceless architectural and historical treasures in the process if they belonged to a religious tradition they didn't like). Not one peep of protest or indignation from anyone.
I was trying to think why so many people got the Saudi Arabia one wrong, because it had the city name, but most people learn that city to be Mecca I guess.
Hallgrimskirkja - Iceland. I've wasted about 10 seconds, because I typed at first Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark... It's a crap thing that yuo get it right after you try all of the possible answers :D
Missed one, been to two. Pisa and arc de triomphe, (and close to buckingham palace have been to tower bridge and maybe even somewhere closer (while on a bus or subway) but never actually went there)
I'm surprised the Buddha statues are the least guessed! I would have expected they would be pretty high up with all the press they got after the Taliban blew them up.
I got every single one of them... except the space needle. Couldn't exactly recall where or what it was, just knew it had to be in a developed country, but at the same time I figured that the US was the answer to another question, so never even thought to try it.
Actually, I'm guessing that many people in a slightly earlier generation know about that from Indiana Jones.
p.s. Cyprus is in Europe
