I've considered going completely internet-free during the trip, but if I decide against that I may pop in from time to time.
Maybe everyone should make quizzes about their travels, I wonder how that would look. Hmm....
img src="(URL)" (after you upload them onto a comutersoftware, of course!)

You have to experiment with different widths & heights to get the right size (x and y represent numbers)
Well, sort of... I still have two weeks of work left in Dammam and some other things to take care of here. But I already drove the Viper from Bahrain to Saudi Arabia so in a way I've started the trip.
Very nice quiz, I'd love to solve more of this type :)
Good luck, looks like an awesome trip! Enjoy!
"Take the ferry south across the strait then follow the coast to the southwest 400 km."
Am I looking for a country, city, town, rock, etc.
In a sequel, of sorts, to this quiz... which I am working on presently and will finish by 2018 (when I complete this trip in real life), I intend to rectify this and put in more names of museums, cathedrals, sites of interest and so on. This version represents more of a rough outline.
But I really needed to stop the timer !
2. I was there before, in 2004.
3. the most important reason.. the Schengen Area means that I can only stay in the part of Europe covered by this zone for 3 months out of any given 6 months. My car means that I cannot be anywhere where it snows or I will get stuck. Most of the Schengen Area countries are in western, central, and northern Europe. Combine these factors together, and it becomes difficult to include certain countries on the route, such as Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. If I could have fit in more Scandinavian countries I definitely would have it was just difficult given these constraints. The path I take is a winding one because I need to move in and out of Schengen every 3 months to stay legal and I have to also stay to the south by the sea during the winter months or I get snowed on.
In Odessa I had a gorgeous high-rise apartment on the 19th floor overlooking the Black Sea, with floor to ceiling windows, with a kitchen, free underground parking, basically right on the beach, for $27/day.
Here in Stockholm a bed in a hostel dorm room is $50/night. Insanity. And Swedish girls aren't nearly as hot as you've heard. Gotta get out of here.
As indicated in my profile, I am homeless.
When you have no home, there is nothing to miss about it. :) But there are things I miss about many different places I've been before. I miss friends and family all over the place but mostly in Virginia. I miss wonderful jambalaya pasta, basil duck, Todai sushi, etc etc from Virginia; $1 pho from Saigon, $4 portions of kalbi from Seoul; the excellent smoked mutabel and fantastic fried chicken I used to get down the street from my place in Riyadh; the amazing gyros from Cyprus; and so on. I miss the ass hoses of Saudi Arabia, as well as the warm weather in November. I miss the women in the Philippines and Thailand and Russia.
Anyway, update, April 2017... for myriad different reasons... I decided to cut the trip short. I'm in Tunisia right now. Was recently in Italy. Made it about 2.5 years in to the trip which was supposed to last 3.5 years before running out of steam. I guess that's pretty good.
I'll post an updated version of this at some point since this quiz turned out to be so unexpectedly popular.

I've never been to Malta, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, or Andorra. I was planning to visit at least the last 2 and maybe the last 3 but I cut my trip through Europe short.
How awesome is that! I will be going on a tour through Scandinavia soon! I really recommend it, I've been to Norway and Iceland before already!
Could you accept Marakesh, by any chance?
