Cool quiz. I missed 4... all in China. :P The last G Chinese city I'm sure I've never heard of before. I was surprised it was bigger than Guangdong or Guangxi... then looked it up and found out these were provinces, not cities.
For consistency, if you're using the official Indian names (Kolkata for Calcutta, Chennai for Madras, etc) then Bengaluru is similarly the new official name for Bangalore
Nice one now that I am trying to learn them for Worlds biggest cities - extreme edition. Only missed 4 the first time around and 2 of those I actually knew, just didn't think of. Had no clue Guayaquil was in Ecuador, good to learn that.
tough quiz! but i was most surprised by how few folks knew Hong Kong. even though i agree with the last comment about adding time I'm not sure extra time would have helped me.
Hong Kong being listed under China tripped me up. Got them all except HK, Jinan and Guiyang. Could Hong Kong be listed as an SAR under the country column?
I missed Hong Kong for the same reason. I lived in and traveled through China, including Hong Kong, and it really feels like you're in a different world when you're in Hong Kong.
Bangaluru should have an alternate spelling, Bangalore (I used to live there and that's how they called it in my apartment complex. Especially when watching cricket)
I remembered Chongqing and Hangzhou but forgot Detroit and Hong Kong. I was just so focused on the relatively obscure Chinese Cities I forgot the obvious.
As it's a SAR, it doesn't naturally come to mind when you're mentally running through a list of Chinese cities starting with H. Instead you're naturally thinking Hangzhou, Harbin, Haikou, Hefei etc so it's easy to miss. Perhaps the geographical clue can be changed to China (SAR)?
But managed to get all Indian cities (although I've never been to India), but had some trouble with Bombay and Madras as I know them by their former official names.
Also I only missed 1 on my first try :)
IMO, this quiz needs at least another minute, otherwise most people are going to run out of time while they're trying to think of them.
