There are multiple martial arts (judo, taekwondo, wrestling) so that shouldn't be acceptable otherwise we may as well accept 'ball sports' for football and badminton. Also there is no horse racing in the Olympics.
aquatics is swimming, diving, synchronized swimming ... all VERY different ... but taekwondo & judo are separate ... kayak, sailing and rowing are separate ... cycling includes bmx ... this quiz is short circuiting my brain ..
Each Olympic sport is governed by a different international governing body. Several sports have different events/sports under the one major umbrella like Aquatics has diving, swimming and water polo and Athletics has running, jumping, discus, but as yet (and never will I assume) the martial arts are governed under one group. Rugby and golf were not Olympic sports in 2012, but were previously and will likely be again in 2016 (if Rio gets their venues built!)
Not sure if somebody has said this or not, but "Eventing" should be the only answer for equestrian. There are hundreds of sports that have to do with horses. Eventing is the specific discipline that is used in the Olympics.
Please separate aquatics - at least swimming. The athleticism required for synchronized swimming does not even come close to the athleticism and overall skill in swimming
A really good test. I just got the final answer with 9 seconds to spare. Personally, I see swimming, diving and waterpolo as 3 separate sports, but I dare say the IOC sees it differently.
