Amazing that with some of the runs these teams have had, some of them have not won more. The Seahawks were so great for the last ten years and only managed one. Ditto the Saints. Peyton's Colts only got one. Rodgers's Packers too.
Well, it's really hard... except when it isn't. There are teams on there where you really wonder how they have won anything. I think it just shows how skewed a football fan's perspective is. One tends to look at flashy skill positions, like QB, WR, RB, LB... when football is actually a team sport that is often decided by the unheralded players in the trenches, by special teams, by coaching... That's why a team like the Packers in my opinion looks better than it actually is, because Rogers is very flashy - but also very alone.
Also, the refs suck. I'm not *just* saying that because I'm a Saints fan... #WhoDat
I disagree. I was not just citing great quarterbacks, but great quarterbacks on great teams. Philip Rivers is an elite QB, but his teams weren't often especially good. It's not *just* about quarterbacking, of course, but teams that are perennially competitive usually have very good QBs.
I will never forget that game, mostly because the post-game raucousness climaxed with some Eagles fan literally eating horse crap. Nothing can ever erase that memory.
Really puts in perspective how hard it is to win.
