That’s a myth. There’s people who don’t understand astrology that claim since the constellation have shifted from 2000 years ago, the signs are different. That’s not how astrology works tho
I think you are confusing 'Sign' with 'Constellation'. The signs of the zodiac are a twelve-fold division of the ecliptic, each sign spans 30° of celestial longitude, approximately the distance the Sun travels in a month. The ancient 'Signs' that we use are not actually the same as the ancients adapted due to the 'Precession of the Equinoxes' ie the change in the rotational axis of the earth.
I reallllly wouldnt have know Sagittarius for archer in latin. But it does help with pisces and aquaman, err I mean aquarius ;) For aries I think of ares the god.
I NEVER cheat on JP (eg re take quizzes straight away to get more points or look up answers mid quiz) but with this one the google ad that appeared was for horoscopes, showing all 12 signs....i had 11 when i realised it....oh come on, are you saying you wouldn't have peeked?
I didn't think I cheated on quizzes, either. I didn't realize taking them again until one gets them all correct was cheating. I do it to learn them, but no matter how many times I retake the capitals quizzes I just can't seem to make them stick in my brain. (Is that really cheating to repeat them?)
Redoing a test (after you did a first round honestly and with full effort)is not cheating. It is cheating when you look stuff up during a quiz. Or when you click give up just to see the answers.
A lot of people wouldnt have a diploma or driving license if that was the case ;) you learn and try and. (If at first you dont succeed)
So weird - while doing this quiz, I had a banner ad for astrologyace.com (a site I've never been to) that had all the signs and their symbols listed across it. Even though I didn't look, I feel like I cheated. Also, like I'm being stalked by someone who believes this kind of stuff.
This is too easy. I think it should be modified into a "yellow bar" quiz (whatever that's called) that goes along the months and requires the sign to match the highlighted months. That would not be a difficult modification, would it?
I know the quizmaster probably doesn't have any control over it, but as soon as I hit the start button, a banner ad for horoscopes popped up, listing all the signs in order. Just FYI.
People have said this before, but this quiz definitely shouldn't be under science. It appears here because astronomy genuinely is a subset of science - but astrology is not the same thing as astronomy.
LOL - I got most of them but was struggling with a few. Then I noticed there was an ad at the top of the page about horoscopes, and it had all the signs listed.
wow it looks like nobody reads the comments. Seen like 40 of them saying they had an astrology and what a big coincidence it was. (mine is saying the universe has a message for you btw hahaha) I guess everybody felt special like they were the only one (wether it made them feel lucky or paranoid)
And I really think this should be ( though I often hate them) a yellow box one, the answers are so tied with their dates. It will be much harder yes, even more for non english speakers ( though when you do know the english one you probably know what it is in your own language so it wouldnt be harder to get the months). Might need a bit more time then, cause there would be a lot of trial and error. Most probably know atleast their own though and maybe their parents/syblings/partner
The zodiac are the constellations situated on the ecliptic, i.e. the line which the sun passes along, from the perspective of Earth. It's just basic astronomy, known since Classical times.
Although, having said that, nowadays there should be a thirteenth (Ophiuchus), because of how the stars have moved relative to the sun and Earth since the twelve were first described in this way. So perhaps it's a mixture of science and history.
Interesting that some signs are guessed significantly more often than others - and the two I couldn't think of are near the bottom of the list. I wonder why that should be.
Gemini rules 🎉✌🏼️
I was thinking Lion, Ram, Scales.... :/
(and waterman threw me for a few seconds..)
