Name every railway station in the UK that is classed as a 'request stop' where you have to flag down, press a button, or ask onboard staff for the train to stop.
Heritage Railway stations are excluded.
As of May 2024
Northern Ireland currently has no request stops.
Services to Altnabreac are currently suspended but prior to that it was a request stop.
If you're boarding the train at the station, you have to stick your hand out so that the driver sees you and stops. If you're alighting at the station, you have to inform the guard/conductor that you're getting off there. In some stations in the Scottish Highlands, there is a button at the station to request to stop the next train.
