I am struck by the similarity of 'castle' across all five languages, especially since English is not very similar to the other four, which are all similar to each other

the l in castle isnt said so really only the first letter is similar,

english word is from latin, i think the rest got it from arabic (which isnt in the turkic family so thats just a common loan)

Thanks for writing this. Are these words hand-picked to highlight specific points of similarity between the languages, or are these languages generally this similar? If the latter, it almost seems like if they strained themselves, they might be able to follow a conversation in each other's languages.

✓Castle — qulyp

✓Leftovers — kaldyktar

Owl — uki
